• Declarative Statement – 

Before starting this course I didn’t feel confident in my writing. Until I finally took this course I learned a lot that will help me move toward in life. My grammar is not perfect but it makes me who I am.

 

• Interrogative (Question) – 

Is my grammar bad? Why didn’t my past teachers ever correct me on my grammar? I wonder how far my grammar will take me going forward in life?

 

• Imperative (Command/Request) –

When I wrote a sentence during class I always used to ask the professor, ‘’can you reread this for me?’’  My punctuation had to be in the correct spot and make sense. Did my sentences make sense!

 

• Exclamatory (Exclamation) – 

My grammar did make sense! I learned a lot in this class! All grammar is not meant to be perfect!
